Tri-County Technical College is seeking an innovative Director of I-BEST programs dedicated to student success and meeting the diverse needs of our students and community. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Academic and Career Foundations, the Director will provide comprehensive leadership and management for the I-BEST programs.
The Director works in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders (such as local employers, local Adult Education Centers, and area non-profits) to pilot, operate, and manage educational pathways with wrap-around support services that lead to career employment and advancement, postsecondary credentials, and the capacity for a good quality life. The I-BEST program serves under-resourced and under-employed people in the tri-county area.
The successful candidate will have experience and demonstrated success in building sustainable partnerships; leading and/or facilitating change; leading people and developing successful teams; operating and managing a program; process improvement and change management. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives on change and the unexpected; who responds positively to change and the challenges and opportunities it brings; who has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new ways to achieve targets and objectives; who actively seeks out new ways of doing things and has confidence to improvise or experiment; who is comfortable switching from the detail to the big picture and can effectively handle working with both.
The Director oversees all aspects of all I-BEST programs; applies up-to-date knowledge and understanding of appropriate regulations, opportunities, and employer needs; collaborates with College, business, and community officials in program development, expansion, and evaluations efforts; designs and delivers staff program development activities; and coordinates comprehensive evaluation, marketing/outreach, and Return on Investment (ROI) strategies.
Job Duties Include:
LEADERSHIP: Plans for and provides leadership for I-BEST programs. Ensures that offices are managed effectively and efficiently, and the processes and procedures are robust and effectively serve the student population. Plans, develops, and effectively administers policies and procedures related to the administration of programs.
MARKETING/ENROLLMENT: Promotes the program appropriately to various stakeholder groups including other college offices, AOP school districts, Adult Ed Centers, industry and employer partners, the general public, and prospective students and their families/support persons. Oversees student information/orientation programs. Develops, maintains, and revises a comprehensive marketing plan. Prepares and submits applicable reports and data as needed and appropriate for diverse constituencies.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: In partnership with educational and employer partners appropriate College offices, and others as necessary, develop, coordinate and manage initiatives and activities to promote enrollment of students in I-BEST pathways.
MANAGEMENT/COORDINATION: Work collaboratively with relevant internal, cross-divisional partners to manage pathways, scheduling and staffing.
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years relevant program experience.
