Job Description

The Role:

Accountable for providing HR support to employees through effective communication and administration across all functions of the coal mine. Under the direction of the HR Manager, the HR Rep will assist in various HR functions such as, recruiting on-boarding, new hire orientation, benefits administration and other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the point person for employee inquiries such as employee benefits and policies, new employee orientation and HR-related concerns
  • Serve as a knowledgeable Human Resource Representative
  • Assists with the recruiting, hiring and retention efforts relevant to Skyline Mine
  • Work well with cross-functional teams ensuring timely updates while maintaining open communication

Job Requirements
Experience You'll Need:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or relevant field preferred. Relevant experience can be substituted for education requirements
Minimum 1+ year of proven work experience in a previous HR Role.
Must have knowledge of basic HR laws and applications.
Experience and knowledge with HR software (preferable ADP) or similar HRIS system
Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD and LOA
Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
Strong phone, email and in-person communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written, at all levels
Poised demeanor and professionalism while working under high pressure situations
Commitment to accuracy; attention to detail
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; integrity and trust a must
Pleasant and cooperative attitude with team-oriented disposition
Computer literacy (MS Office applications, Excel in particular)
