Assists in the dedication to Continuous Improvement by reducing waste and lead a variation of reduction projects as assigned in relation to the corporate goals.

Job Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads plant improvement activities by working closely with the Engineering Manager, Plant Manager and the cross-functional support team
• Develops both a short-term and a long-term improvement plan and reports progress on a monthly basis to upper management
• Hands-on experience is required in order to implement IE Analysis on the shop floor with bottom line savings
• Investigates and identifies new technology requirements for ongoing improvements
• Evaluates, develops and executes a broad spectrum of projects including project planning, feasibility studies, design, cost estimation preparation of appropriation requests
• Provides technical/engineering support to production and other plant functions
• Assists with the selection of new equipment, sets up new equipment, and trains staff in proper operation of equipment
• Acts as a mentor and coach to the shop floor associates and has the ability to train them on the various tools of Industrial Engineering
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree

Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:

 Computer proficiency in all Windows based programs
 Minitab, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Access

 Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
 Must have the ability to work on projects both individually and cross-functionally
 Safety conscious, goal oriented, results driven
 Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs

 0 to 3 years of experience
 Experience in ISO
 Past record of leadership in organizations/groups that are not necessarily social but show leadership experience
 Track record with senior design projects to show how you think through problems/projects

Certifications, Licenses

 Six sigma black belt or green belt useful as well as AUTOCAD
 A Six Sigma skill set is a plus but not required.
 PLC / Programming skills a plus but not required.
