The Operating Technician is responsible for preparation, set-up, start and running manufacturing equipment under the guidance of the Production Shift Leader. Accountabilities also include ensuring that jobs meet quality specifications, manufacturing standards and that safety procedures are followed while working to continuously improve quality and productivity of manufacturing operations.
- Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts to specifications.
- Ensure maximum efficiency of set-up to include set-up time, materials, production rate and material consumption
- Machine readiness - inspect machinery, equipment and tooling prior to set-up
- Identify issues which adversely affect product requirements and communicate with appropriate department personnel for resolution
