Description/Job Summary

To assist the Quantum Fabrication Engineering Manager with leading the Quantum Fabrication department’s processes and employees while successfully delivering on all business expectations for the department

Responsibilities/Duties

•Collaborate with Management regarding product launches within Quantum Fabrication by coordinating with all departments involved to ensure quality product is delivered to the end user

•Collaborate with Management to develop processes to manufacture product as efficiently as possible

•Assist with monitoring existing processes and implement changes accordingly to eliminate non-value added work content

•Collaborate with designing fixturing/equipment to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient manufacturing of product

•Design, fabricate, and implement fixtures for use with CNC machinery ensuring that designs are safe, effective, manufacturable, reliable and meet quality system compliance

•Meet and fulfill project timelines and budgets

•Will work as part of a team on:

•Process improvement projects with full accountability for project results by means of sound engineering principals and proven industrial procedures

•Researching, justifying and implementing enhancements and assisting with the training of supervisors and employees to ensure safe, efficient and effective production

•Kaizen Events

•Implementing new processes in production for New Product Introduction (NPI) as defined in Pride’s Design Transfer Process Procedure

•Perform IE analyses and evaluate efficiency levels

•Maintain new tool design, cell layout, and production test fixtures

•Perform daily floor support

•Communicate feedback and capabilities to Management

•Monitor existing processes and implement changes accordingly to eliminate non-value add work content

•Provide on hand support to Production for quality, ergonomic, and process improvements

•Interface with System Support Group as it relates to changes in process that affect documentation control and production control software

•Perform as the Strong 2nd (back up) to Quantum Fabrication Engineering Manager

•Work on special projects when needed

•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

•Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training

•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

Must have:

•Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
•Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint

•Intermediate working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks and/or Pro/Engineer
•Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
•Basic understanding of Production Test Fixture design, Lean Principles, and Lean and Flow Manufacturing Principles

Preferred Skills

•Basic working knowledge laser cutters, welding, and CNC mills and lathes preferred

•Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD engineering software preferred
•Basic working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, Adobe Illustrator, and Production Control Systems preferred

Required Experience

•At least 1 year of manufacturing engineering experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, or technical processes

Preferred Experience

•At least 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, or technical processes preferred

•Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) preferred
•Experience in Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) equivalent preferred

•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

Required Education

•Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent discipline

Preferred Education

•Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent discipline preferred
