Responsibilities of the Rotating Equipment Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Diagnosing equipment problems -- both mechanically and electrically
  • Installation and removal of pump equipment in the field
  • Disassembly, inspection, and re-assembly of pumping equipment
  • Complete projects, installations, and repairs from beginning to end
Qualifications of the Rotating Equipment Technician include, but are not limited to:
  • Minimum 5 years experience rebuilding pumps and other rotating equipment
  • Pump teardown, diagnostic, and repair
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Experience with VIT, Split Case, Horizontal, and other pumps
  • Basic electrical knowledge/experience
  • Mechanical assembly skills
  • Manual machining highly preferred
  • Mig/Tig/Stick Welding (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to read/operate micrometer
  • Ability to take a project from start to finish
  • Ability to diagnose, make recommendations and solve problems in the field
  • Required to complete paperwork and generate material/parts requests and compile as-found and as-build reports
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Steel toed boots or shoes
  • Mechanic Tool Box with socket/wrenches up to 1-1/4
Additional Information
Physical Demand: Ability to lift 75lbs. Must pass DOT physical (FMCSA).

Working Conditions: Shop and field environment

Shift Time/Overtime: 6:00am - 2:30pm with ability to work overtime

Travel: Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines

Education: High School Diploma
