qualified Safety Program Analyst I in Arlington, VA.
SAFETY PROGRAM ANALYST I
Primary Responsibilities: CTC is seeking a
highly motivated and qualified candidate for a full-time position as a Safety
Program Analyst I. This position supports the Office of the Secretary of
Defense (OSD), Personnel and Readiness, Personnel Readiness and Safety (PRS)
Director and all of its programs. OSD PRS is responsible for overseeing safety
efforts for OSD, via the Defense Safety Oversight Council, the Safety
Management Center of Excellence (SMCX), and the Force Risk Reduction (FR2) tool.
The successful candidate will:
Play an integral role in the daily operation and management of PRS programs, policies, and technical activities. Provide support including reviewing data and technical papers and policies, editing, scheduling, planning, drafting memos and correspondence, tracking progress both within and outside of DoD systems, and drafting updates and reports on PRR’s primary programs. Assist with the development and tracking of strategic plans and schedules. Support and/or develop, and maintain PRS program briefings for executive level reviews, and be able to support development of briefings with summary narrative/bullets, graphs, and charts. Interface with numerous General/Flag officers and other senior Department of Defense (DoD) civilians in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-demand environment. Perform often urgent tasks in high-level DoD environments. Apply independent judgment and discretion to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, track numerous DoD-wide correspondences, and ensure the PRS Director is prepared for numerous high-level meetings. Other duties as assigned.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree plus 0-2 years of directly related experience Detail-oriented with the ability to work well independently or as part of a remote team in a fluid and dynamic working environment Basic understanding of military protocol Demonstrated writing / editing skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Exceptional organization and time management skills.
Clearance: U.S. citizenship required.
The candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US government
Secret security clearance and a Common Access Card (CAC) for this
position.
