Job Description

SIA Insurance Group strives to be a valued partner in their client’s businesses in the small to middle market, by taking a proactive approach with their insurance programs through their SIA 360 Insurance System. This begins by identifying their client’s and future client’s risk exposures, and continually monitoring their programs with their best in class service, to evolve with their businesses and contribute to their success. SIA Insurance Group believes in building a family culture amongst their team, while protecting their client’s businesses and helping them succeed.

SIA is looking to grow their team with the addition of a Producer. This individual is responsible to sell new accounts and renew existing accounts in alignment with agency and individual goals, while building relationships with clients. The Producer identifies and solicits sales prospects from various sources to build their pipeline. The Producer must be a self-starter who is coachable and hard-working and who possesses strong problem-solving skills and follow thru along with a positive attitude.

Below is a partial list of the responsibilities of a Producer:

  • Commercial Lines
    • Presents sales proposals in professional manner
    • Make the sale and collects necessary deposits, arranges for binders, certificates, etc. Collect all premiums due on or before effective date of coverage
    • Develops prospects through an organized agency directed solicitation program, prospects for referrals from current accounts, and targets marketing leads through community affiliations and other contacts
    • Meet monthly and annual sales goals
    • Develops information and recommendations for prospective accounts and adheres to agency policies and procedures for writing new accounts
    • Performs calls to review client programs and document all material conversations with insureds and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverages
    • Assists in resolving any problems in accounting or claims for clients when necessary
    • Assists in marketing accounts where appropriate
  • Personal Lines
    • Ask commercial accounts to allow our agency to provide proposals on their Personal Lines insurance and provide necessary information to Account Managers to do so. Help the agency sell the proposal
  • Health Insurance
    • Prepare census
    • Act as liaison between carriers & insureds
    • Prepare spreadsheets with rate comparisons
